Job description

A prestigious multinational company specializing in warehouse project management is seeking Temporary Full-Time Supervisors to assist with setting up a warehouse for one of the largest retail e-commerce companies. This is a 2-month assignment located in Rockville, VA


Starting day: Monday, August 17th

Assignment Duration: 2 months

Shifts: 40 hours/week - 4 days on/3 days off (10-hour shifts)

  • Morning Shift: 8:00 am to 6:00 pm
  • Night Shift: 6:00 pm to 4:30 am

Break: 1-hour unpaid


Pay Rate: $20/h


Responsibilities

  • Attend daily kickoff meetings and receive work assignments and priorities.
  • Communicate daily objectives and direct team members to assigned work areas.
  • Monitor productivity and ensure tasks are completed on schedule.
  • Report operational issues, delays, equipment concerns, and staffing challenges.
  • Enforce safety policies and immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
  • Coordinate with the Site Safety Supervisor regarding risk assessments and safety concerns.
  • Maintain team accountability and enforce company policies and code of conduct.
  • Ensure employees remain focused on assigned duties, including compliance with cell phone policies.
  • Assist employees with daily clock-in and clock-out procedures and verify attendance records.
  • Complete basic reports and communicate workforce updates to management.
  • Lead and supervise temporary employees and contractors.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide daily guidance.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a safe work environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership, supervisory, warehouse, construction, or industrial experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use a laptop and Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Ability to complete reports and maintain attendance records.
  • Be willing to go through a background check
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and OSHA certification is an asset

Required Attire and Safety Guidelines:

·         Steel or composite toe work shoes/boots

·         Safety gloves, vest, glasses, and hard hat. 

·         Hard hats with chin straps

·         Long pants that cover from waist to ankle (No sweats, scrubs, or pajama bottoms)

·         Long hair must be tied back in a ponytail

·         Shirt with sleeves
