Job description

Misericordia University invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology, starting August 2025. This is a 10-month, non-tenure-track faculty position that has the potential to be renewed on an annual basis, circumstances permitting. A Ph.D. from a university that is accredited is required at the time of appointment.

The faculty member will be expected to teach lab and lecture courses in Anatomy and Physiology and Human Structure and Function. They also will serve as an advisor to undergraduate students enrolled in health sciences programs.

Candidates should have meaningful experience in face-to-face and virtual classroom instruction and learning outcomes assessment, prioritizing the fostering of a dynamic, respectful, and challenging learning environment. Prior experience as an academic advisor is highly desirable.
