ASSISTANT PROFESSOR (TENURE TRACK)
DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY
UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, TWIN CITIES
The Department of Chemistry (cse.umn.edu/chem) seeks to fill one tenure-track assistant professor faculty position beginning July 1, 2027, or later. Applications will be accepted from candidates whose research interests lie in any area of modern chemistry. Appointees will be expected to carry out vigorous programs of original research, to advise research students, to teach a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Chemistry, and to participate in Departmental and University governance. Selection will be based on each candidate's record of previous accomplishments relevant to these responsibilities, their potential for outstanding future contributions, and their potential to actively advance the University's goal of creating a positive campus climate that is both inclusive and diverse.
Qualifications
Appointees must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree by the date of appointment.
About the Department
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota (UMN) provides a world-class education through classroom teaching and cutting-edge research. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $100,000 - $115,000 (9-month salary); depending on education/ qualifications/ experience.
