The Opportunity:
As an analytics professional, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning (ML), and artifi cia l intelligence (AI). If you care about moving a mission forward as much as advancing the field of data science, this is the opportunity for you. Your analytics, data science, AI, and ML knowledge and consult ing expertise, coupled with an original approach to your work, will help clients and stakeholders make sense of their data and encourage actionable results. We're looking for someone like you to steer complex data exploration and analytics projects through your experience with programming languages, operationalizing models, containerization, data architecture, and cloud computing platforms for the Intelligence Community.
As an advanced data scientist and researcher on our national security team, you'll learn and apply innovative AI and ML met hodologies to make a real-world impact on the Intelligence Community. You'll grow your skills in data science, AI, the ML operationalization process, and predictive modeling, and shape the future of analytics through a variety of means such as patents, peer-reviewed papers, major conference presentations, and code submissions.
We'll keep you sharp and moving forward in your career, with access to online courses, the latest tools and met hods, and opportunities to develop industry-facing publications and presentations. Whether you're using AI to impact the climate, improving government efficiency, providing better services to the public, or improving veterans' experience s, you'll collaborate with a team that serves critical missions from end to end.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering or analytics
  • 2+ years of experience using data science programming languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with version control tools, including Git, GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and ML met hods
  • Ability to design and develop automated analytic sof tware, techniques, and algorithms
  • Ability to develop solutions and integrate and extend free and open-source sof tware ( FOSS ) or COTS products
  • Ability to generate data visualizations with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or ArcGIS
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, CS, or So cia l Science and 3+ years of experience in statistics, data science, computer science, and social science, or 4+ years of experience in statistics, data science, computer science, and so cia l science in lieu of a degree

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
