Located in the beautiful Black Hills region of South Dakota, Mount Rushmore National Memorial is open year-round and operates retail shops and a variety dining outlets serving convenient grab-and-go meals and coffee. We’re hiring an Employee Shuttle Driver to Live. Work. Explore. this summer!

Job Summary:
Drives transport vehicle to and from assigned destinations to move staff and goods for the concession; works in Stockroom as assigned.

The Details:
Position Type: Seasonal
Season Dates: July 2026 through October 18th, 2026
Pay: $15.05/hour
Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
  • Shuttle service specifically for Xanterra employees.
  • Drives vehicle, most of the time a 12-passenger van, from individual or central loading area to dormitory, or other destination according to assigned schedule.
  • Ensure the vehicle is clean and fueled. Notify maintenance when the vehicle is in need of service or repair.
  • When in between shuttle runs, will unpacks, tags and back stocks incoming merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedure.
  • Must follow all safety guidelines, including but not limited to posted speed limits, all passengers wear safety belts, use of proper turn signals, and park in designated spot.
  • Follow Company and departmental environmental and safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience driving a larger vehicle, preferably transporting people from one location to another.
  • Possession of a valid US driver’s license and clean driving record in the last 3 years.
  • Ability to drive at night.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep on time with a defined schedule.
  • Willing to “pitch-in” and help the team with tasks.
  • Must be a positive team player with flexible schedules who like to have fun and have the passion to work.

Physical Requirements include:

  • Constantly sit and reach outward.
  • Frequently walk, and handling.
  • Occasionally stand, reach above shoulder, climbing, crawling, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting/carrying 10-50 pounds, and pushing/pulling up to 12-40 pounds.
