Senior Retail Experience Designer (Store Design)
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)
Duration: Contract through end of year
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Retail Experience Designer to help shape innovative, immersive retail environments that connect brand, product, and consumer in meaningful ways. This role sits within a highly collaborative creative team focused on elevating the future of physical retail through storytelling, spatial design, and experiential innovation.
You'll play a key role in developing store concepts, environments, and design systems-bringing ideas to life from early concept through execution. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of architecture, brand storytelling, and consumer experience, delivering impactful retail spaces at scale.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and contribute to the creative direction and design development of retail environments and store concepts
  • Translate brand strategy into physical experiences, including fixtures, layouts, materials, and spatial storytelling
  • Develop and present innovative design concepts to internal stakeholders and leadership
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across architecture, brand, marketing, and production
  • Drive projects from ideation through execution, ensuring alignment to timelines, budgets, and design intent
  • Create compelling presentation materials and visual storytelling to communicate design ideas
  • Stay ahead of retail, design, and cultural trends, applying insights to elevate the consumer experience
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and design excellence
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of experience in retail, experiential, environmental, or architectural design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing retail environments, store design, and immersive brand experiences
  • Proven ability to lead complex design projects from concept through delivery
  • Deep expertise in spatial design, materials, fixtures, and in-store storytelling
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and presentation tools (Keynote or equivalent)
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and external partners
  • Strong communication and visual storytelling skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have
  • Experience with global retail brands or large-scale store programs
  • Familiarity with 3D visualization and design tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino, Unreal Engine, or similar)
  • Exposure to immersive or interactive experiences (AR/VR, digital integrations)
  • Background in narrative-driven or storytelling-based design environments
