Salary : $18.00/hr
Employment Terms: Part-Time, Temporary, July - September 2026

Position Overview: Provides a continuum of individual student planning, school counseling core curriculum, behavioral health services, including data-driven prevention and intervention strategies for ensuring equitable access to resources and promoting academic achievement , social/emotional and career development to enhance student success for college and career readiness.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for students, visitors, and community members by providing courteous customer service, directing inquiries, and responding to phone, email, and in-person requests.
  • Assist with student intake, registration, testing, and referrals, supporting enrollment in mandated and enrichment programs and ensuring accurate placement.
  • Maintain accurate student and program records by entering data and performing clerical duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and preparing correspondence.
  • Support a safe and welcoming learning environment by following visitor screening procedures and assisting with daily front office operations.
  • Collaborate with the Intake & Retention Specialist and Adult Education staff to provide efficient administrative support and ensure high-quality service to students and the community.

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior clerical or administrative experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other standard office technology.
  • Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of student and district information.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of CASAS testing regulations used by New London Adult and Continuing Education.
