Underground Utility Worker - MCI Job Opportunity
Are you ready to dig into an exciting career in telecommunications construction? MCI is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Underground Utility Workers. No experience? No problem! We provide on-the-job training and excellent benefits.
Job Overview:
  • Full-time position
  • Pay: $21.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience and having a Class A CDL)
  • Hours: 40 - 70 per week

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare construction sites, materials, and tools
  • Load and unload materials, equipment, and tools
  • Remove debris and restore work sites
  • Assemble and dismantle temporary structures and barricades
  • Operate commercial vehicles and trailers (with proper qualifications)
  • Regulate traffic and install signs according to MUTCD guidelines
  • Adhere to OSHA 1926 Construction Safety standards
  • Perform underground excavation work, including digging and trenching

Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical tasks
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions
  • Team player with good communication skills
  • High school diploma (preferred but not required)

Additional Requirements:
  • DOT Medical Card (for operating vehicles over 10,000 lbs)
  • Nice to have the ability to get a CDL with tanker endorsement (for vehicles over 26,000 lbs)
