Civil Estimator – Underground Utilities | Direct Hire |

Build Your Career With a Growing Commercial Site Development Company


Are you a Civil Estimator with experience in underground utilities who is ready for a stable, long-term opportunity with a company that values your experience, work ethic, and character?

We're looking for an experienced estimator to join our team in Thonotosassa, FL. This is a direct-hire position—not temporary work—offering competitive pay of $43.27–$50.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What You'll Be Estimating

You'll play a key role in pricing and winning commercial civil site development projects, including:

  • Water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
  • Commercial underground utility projects
  • Civil site development and sitework
  • Material, labor, subcontractor, and equipment costs
  • Project scopes, budgets, and bid packages

Your Day-to-Day

  • Review plans, specifications, and bid documents
  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs
  • Build accurate and competitive project estimates
  • Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Analyze site conditions, project risks, and constructability
  • Work closely with project managers and operations teams
  • Track bid results and help improve estimating strategies

What You Bring to the Team

  • 5+ years of civil site development estimating experience
  • Strong experience with commercial underground utilities
  • Ability to confidently read civil drawings and specifications
  • Experience with Agtek, HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar estimating/takeoff software
  • Solid understanding of sitework construction
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience working with general contractors and developers
  • Knowledge of local construction pricing and subcontractor networks
  • A background in civil engineering or construction management
