Job Title: Travel MIG Welder

33hr and 160 per diem

Project located in PA - must be able to travel and set up lodging in PA for this project.

Job Description

This role involves performing production MIG welding in a manufacturing environment, primarily on JLG baskets and A-frames, while traveling as needed. You will use your welding skills, blueprint reading ability, and fabrication knowledge to produce high-quality welds that meet established standards and pass both practical and written assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on JLG baskets, A-frames, and related components in a production environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to complete welding tasks accurately.
  • Pass and maintain proficiency in a horizontal MIG welding test as required.
  • Complete a written test related to welding processes, safety, and quality standards.
  • Use tools such as grinders and tape measures to prepare, fit, and finish welded components.
  • Measure and verify dimensions using tape measures and basic math to ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Follow established fabrication procedures and work instructions to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Inspect welds visually and make necessary adjustments to meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Work effectively on a 3rd shift schedule, meeting production goals and timelines.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record and reliability to support continuous production operations.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and practices in a manufacturing welding facility.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety and quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on structural components such as baskets, frames, or similar assemblies.
  • Comfort working on 3rd shift in a high-paced production setting.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality welds.
