Job description

Job Summary:

To assist in the every day functions of the Valve Repair Department while learning every aspect needed to become a Repair Technician.

Skills Required:

*Mechanical Aptitude is a must.

*Ability to learn quickly.

*Ability to climb up to 100ft and lift up to 50 lbs.

*Ability to Travel.

*Must have valid Drivers License with clean driving record.

*Ability to pass criminal background check.

*Must be physically able to perform essential job functions, may need to wear a respirator when

required.

*Ability to accurately complete all documentation required.

*Good Verbal Communication and Follows Instructions.

Essential Job Duties:

*Dis-Assembly of Valves.

*Performs sandblasting.

*Cleans Valves.

*Inspects Valves

*Properly documents all information from the valve nameplates on the relief valve to ticket.

*Paint valves.

*Tag stamping and properly attaching tag.

*Sealing & Wiring - finishing of relief valve.

*Performs shop maintenance.

*Travels with mobile unit.

*Climbs up to 100ft.

*Lifts up to 50 lbs.

*Wears respirator when required.

*Inspects Personal Protection Equipment.

*Satisfactory progress in the Mercer Valve Training Program.

*Complete all necessary Safety Training.

*Start SSE Program.


This is a safety sensitive position. Will be required to pass background/drug screen/physical prior to employment.
