Job description

Are you ready for the next step in your career?

We are looking for the next Manager of Tissue Services, leading North America's Service operations. This position will be responsible for managing Tissue Services in North America according to the overall Tissue Business Line (TM SER) strategy. Tissue services include Mill Site Services, Roll Services, Spare parts and Capital after market. The focus is to provide effective sales support, project execution and customer service for the Tissue Customers and mills in the Region. The primary objective is to grow TM SER Service sales in the region that meet TM SER profitability and customer satisfaction targets.

Key responsibilities in this role:

  • Manages and develops tissue services for customers in North America.
  • Formulates a business plan for Tissue Services in North America and executes the main elements of the plan as approved by the Tissue Business Line Management.
  • Responsible for the Sales and Gross Profit of Tissue Services in North America. This includes direct responsibility for own TM SER service functions and management oversight of shared activities in the region.
  • Responsible for sales and execution of TM SER service products delivered directly to the mills.
  • Responsible for the co-ordination and execution of all Yankee Services.
  • Provides sales support and overseas mill maintenance audits and studies and Tissue Service Agreements in the Region.
  • Provides sales support and execution for selected installation projects for TM SER delivered equipment and components in the region.
  • Identifies development opportunities and plans for TM SER to further consolidate and grow Tissue Services in North America.
  • Co-ordinates customer and business aspects of Tissue Services performed by other Valmet shared resources in North America.
  • Manages field erection supervision resources for TM SER projects in the Region.
  • Participates in setting annual targets for the Regional Sales Managers as well as bi-weekly participation in sales meetings.
  • Provides resources and planning for technical sales support for Tissue services in the region.
  • Provides direction and management oversight to the Service Sales team leader
  • Assists the TM SER sales organization in North America to close orders for TM SER services and capital projects as may be requested.
  • Acts as the North American region representative on the Global Tissue Services management team.
  • Responsibility for sharing and transfer of product knowledge of the Tissue Services activities to the Region.
  • Serves as a member of the TM SER North America Management Team.
  • Actively promoting Valmet products and services at customer locations.
  • Travels domestically and internationally up to 50%, at times with little advance notice.
Preferred Qualifications:

B.S. degree in related engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent technical work experience in the tissue industry. Eight years experience in related technical field including: sales experience involving direct customer contact, experience in the tissue or industry, and exposure to foreign markets, customers and business practices. Must have valid driver's license. Ability to travel with little or no prior notification.
