Temp - Tech - Mammography (Days) Pittsfield, MA

This is an XRAY/MAMMOGRAPHER NEED! Please upload travelers who are proficient in both specialties. Do not upload a traveler to this assignment who would like to work in conjunction with another perm placement or travel assignment. Thank you! 10/12-hour shift requests will not be considered for this need. Please make sure your traveler will work the posted schedule before upload.

Berkshire Health System will not consider any traveler who resides within 50 miles of the facility. To avoid delays in processing, please include perm address at profile upload.

Assignment Location: 777 North Street, Pittsfield, MA

Definition/Primary Function:

  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required.
  • Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography.

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload. RTO requests after upload/during interview will not be approved!! No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted (less is better).

8 hours non-billable orientation Holiday and OT multipliers - 1.25%
