Medical Equipment Service Technician

Temp-to-Hire Opportunity | Grow Your Career in Healthcare Equipment


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our team. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity for someone with hands-on experience working with medical equipment—especially brands like Hill-Rom and Stryker—who takes pride in restoring equipment to top condition.


In this role, you’ll play a critical part in refurbishing essential medical equipment used in healthcare facilities, ensuring it is safe, reliable, and ready for use.


What You’ll Do

Inspect, evaluate, and diagnose incoming used medical equipment (hospital beds, stretchers, surgical tables, etc.)

Disassemble, clean, sand, and repaint equipment to restore a like-new appearance

Perform minor mechanical and electrical repairs

Replace or refurbish components such as casters, rails, hydraulics, and control systems

Test equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with quality standards

Accurately document all repairs and refurbishment processes

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines


What We’re Looking For

Hands-on experience working with medical equipment (preferably Hill-Rom and Stryker)

Strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail

Experience using hand tools, power tools, sanders, and spray-painting equipment

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

High school diploma or equivalent (technical training is a plus)

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience in equipment refurbishment or service environments

Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards (FDA, OSHA)

Vocational or technical training in mechanics, electronics, or a related field

Work Environment

Warehouse/shop setting

Use of protective equipment required
