Job description

Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Childress TX

Job Type:Temp to Hire
Compensation: Up to $45/hour + $125/day Per Diem

Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Project Engineers for a large-scale, multi-state initiative with over 40 openings across the U.S. This is a 6–8 month temp-to-hire opportunity, offering competitive pay and per diem support. Candidates will play a key role in supporting field operations, managing project data, and ensuring efficient execution of electrical construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Approve production entries within the CMS system following review and verification by field engineers
  • Update job analysis documentation and participate in weekly production review meetings
  • Oversee and manage tasks assigned to field engineers, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Attend client meetings and provide regular project updates and progress reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project logs, trackers, and documentation
  • Assist in preparing quantity takeoffs for potential change orders
  • Analyze job performance data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate daily with field superintendents to support project execution and resolve field issues

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • Background and working knowledge of electrical systems
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and perform accurate quantity takeoffs
