Who We are looking for: 

As a Food Expeditor for L’Américain, you play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication and efficient coordination between the kitchen and front-of-house team. In this fast-paced environment, you will oversee the timely and accurate delivery of food orders, ensuring every dish meets quality standards and reaches guests promptly. Your attention to detail, sense of urgency, and ability to prioritize multiple orders will help create an exceptional dining experience for every guest.

What is expected of You:

As a member of our team, you'll help ensure every guest receives the right meal at the right time by coordinating the flow of food between the kitchen and dining room. You'll inspect orders for accuracy and presentation, run food to tables as needed, and assist Food Runners with timely service. Responsibilities also include setting up, stocking, maintaining, and closing the Expeditor line, completing required Health Department time and temperature logs, and maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe work area. Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Experience You will need:

  • High School/GED preferred
  • 1year of experience as food expeditor or similar position
  • In-depth knowledge of all relevant health and safety guidelines and regulations
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of kitchen equipment tools
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • A client-oriented mindset
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Food Handler certification preferred 
  • BASSET certification preferred

        Physical Requirements: 

        • Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 25 - 30 pounds
        • Endurance to walk and stand throughout assigned shifts
        • Comfortable with exposure to:
          • Smoke
          • Bright lights
          • Noise typical of a casino setting

                Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

                • Must successfully complete all required training courses and submit the corresponding certificates to the Food & Beverage Department prior to beginning departmental training. Including:
                  • Food Handler certification 
                  • BASSET certification 
                • Able to obtain/maintain necessary licenses and/or certifications as required by local gaming regulations.
