Temporary Court Data Entry & Scanning Clerk

Location: Redmond, Oregon
Schedule: Full-Time Preferred (Part-Time Considered) | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour (DOE)
Position Type: Temporary
Start Date: Immediate Preferred

Position Summary

The Court is seeking a dependable, accurate, and detail-oriented Temporary Court Data Entry & Scanning Clerk to assist with entering incoming traffic citations and related information into the court's system. This position provides valuable administrative support and helps the Court keep current with its daily workload and scheduled arraignments.

The successful candidate will work independently at a designated workstation and must be comfortable performing repetitive, detail-focused data entry tasks for extended periods. Immediate availability is preferred.

Essential Duties

  • Accurately enter incoming traffic citations and related information into the court system.
  • Review documents for completeness and accuracy during data entry.
  • Scan, organize, and maintain documents as directed.
  • Follow established procedures for handling court records and sensitive information.
  • Maintain a consistent and organized workflow to help the Court remain current with incoming citations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive court information.
  • Communicate with court staff regarding questions or discrepancies when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to focus and work independently for extended periods.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive and routine data entry tasks.
  • Dependable and punctual with consistent attendance.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer and data entry skills.
  • Ability to learn court software and procedures.
  • Professional and respectful demeanor.
  • Ability to work on-site in the Redmond office during scheduled hours.
  • Ability to successfully complete a required background check due to access to sensitive court records.
  • LEDS/CJIS certification, or the ability to become certified, is preferred but not required for this temporary position. If hired into a permanent County position, certification may be required.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any additional screening requirements established by the County, including fingerprinting if applicable.

Work Environment

This position is based in a small, professional court office in Redmond. The employee will have a designated temporary workstation and will primarily work independently on data entry and document processing.

This position does not include:

  • Covering court proceedings
  • Handling money or payments
  • Processing files to or from the Judge
  • Answering phones
  • Assisting walk-in customers

The work can be repetitive and requires sustained concentration, accuracy, and consistency. This role is an important support position that helps the Court keep pace with public service needs and scheduled arraignments.
