K&H Truckweld is seeking an experienced Mechanical Draftsman/SolidWorks Designer to join our team in Saginaw, Texas.

K&H Truckweld is a growing manufacturer of custom dump bodies, flatbeds, brush bodies, and vocational truck equipment serving customers throughout Texas and the Southwest.  As a sister company of Pioneer Truckweld, we bring more than 60 years of industry experience while continuing to expand our presence in Texas.

What You'll Do
As a member of our engineering and production team, you will:

  • Create details 3D models and production drawings using SolidWorks
  • Design custom truck bodies and vocational truck equipment for manufacturing
  • Develop fabrication drawings for steel weldments, structural components, and assemblies
  • Interpret engineering concepts, customer requirements, sketches, and production needs into accurate, manufacturable designs
  • Review and revise drawings as product improvements or customer requirements change
  • Collaborate closely with Production Managers and shop personnel to improve manufacturability and efficiency
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of drawings before releasing them to production
  • Maintain organized drawing files and engineering documentation
We're Looking for Someone Who Has
  • Minimum three years SolidWorks drafting or mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience creating production-ready fabrication drawings
  • Strong understanding of fabricated steel, weldments, and structural components
  • Ability to accurately interpret engineering markups and implement revisions
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with production and management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Highly Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in any of the following industries are strongly encouraged to apply:
