Job description

Corporate Security Operations Specialist

At Lincoln Electric—headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio—we help customers build, maintain, and sustain the world’s vital equipment and infrastructure. As a global leader in industrial machinery and technology, our innovations span welding, cutting, brazing, machining, process automation, and field repair. Your Mission

Provide comprehensive safety and security for our employees, visitors, and facilities.

A Day in the Life

Your shift begins in the Euclid Security Operations Center. Screens come alive as you verify credentials for employees and guests, manage access control, and issue temporary ID badges. You keep one ear on constant radio traffic while overseeing fire and security alarm panels for the Euclid campus—corporate handles sales offices and distribution centers, and the Mentor site monitors itself.

When a call hits our internal 911 lines—2222 or 6222—you pivot into emergency response mode, serving as the Incident Command dispatch hub. You deploy ETM’s, coordinate with local police and fire, and keep stakeholders informed until the scene is secure.

Between alarms, you patrol the property, monitor surveillance cameras, and enforce parking guidelines. Some days you’ll cover the truck entrance, verifying shipping and receiving documentation, assigning docks, issuing gate passes, and properly scaling raw materials and scrap for vehicles entering restricted areas. You’ll also keep an eye on railroad traffic moving in and out of the property.

Throughout it all, you interpret and apply company and departmental policies, represent Lincoln Electric professionally to every guest, and take on additional responsibilities aligned with our RISE Strategy.

What You Bring
  • Preferably 2+ years of security experience
  • Exceptional organization; a self-starter who is quality-focused and takes ownership
  • Clear, confident verbal and written communication
  • Calm, decisive judgment under pressure; high alertness
  • Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues at all levels
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends; irregular schedules occur
  • Outstanding attendance and an excellent “on time” record
  • Ability to walk up to two miles per shift and climb stairs
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license
Core Responsibilities
  • Administer access control for employees and guests; verify credentials and issue temporary badges
  • Monitor all Euclid fire and security alarms (corporate monitors sales offices and distribution centers; Mentor monitors Mentor)
  • Track and respond to all radio communications
  • Serve as the company’s 911 (2222) (6222) emergency response center
  • Operate as Incident Command dispatch for critical events; deploy ETM’s
  • Coordinate emergency response with local police and fire
  • Patrol facilities, enforce parking rules, monitor surveillance, and inspect buildings
  • Cover the truck entrance as needed; verify shipping/receiving papers, assign docks, issue gate passes, and scale raw material and scrap
  • Monitor railroad traffic entering and leaving the property
  • Represent the company to all guests; interpret and enforce policies and procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting the Company’s RISE Strategy
