Summary: 
  • The role is responsible for assembling products according to work order specifications while following all safety, quality, and operational standards.  
  • The position involves hands-on assembly work, use of various tools, inspection of components, and ensuring completed units meet engineering and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment. 
Responsibilities 
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required safety equipment in accordance with company policies. 
  • Review work orders to understand product specifications and assembly requirements. 
  • Visually inspect components and completed units for quality and accuracy during the assembly process. 
  • Select and assemble parts and sub-assemblies in the correct sequence using drilling, riveting, screwing, bracing, taping, and other methods. 
  • Install sub-assemblies and component parts according to design specifications. 
  • Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components as specified. 
  • Operate hand tools and equipment including drills, rivet guns, saws, hy-pot testers, hacksaws, and drill presses. 
  • Complete all assembly processes in the specified production sequence. 
  • Ensure finished units meet quality standards before moving them to the next workstation. 
  • Perform foaming of completed cabinets according to engineering specifications. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of the immediate work area on a daily basis. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. 
Required Skills & Qualifications 
  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Beginner-level computer skills or willingness to learn. 
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated product assembly. 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently. 
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and handle bulky parts throughout the workday. 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. 
Desired / Preferred Skills & Qualifications 
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment. 
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow wiring diagrams and blueprints. 
  • Ability to read and differentiate part numbers, labels, and work instructions. 
  • Familiarity with electrical component installation. 
  • Prior experience working with assembly tools and equipment.
