Job description

Contract Temp Paralegal

Provide dedicated paralegal support to the Corporate Legal team. Provide support on tax planning and M&A matters, including conducting diligence, preparing ancillary documents, coordinating closing logistics, and assisting in post-transaction matters, as needed. Assist in global entity management matters, including assisting in the preparation of subsidiary board meeting materials and updating electronic corporate minute books and records. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders (Tax, Corporate Development, Finance, and internal and external counsel) to execute transactions. Manage data in key departmental tools related to matter management and legal entity compliance.

Requirements:

  • Seasoned paralegal with significant transactional experience and ability to coordinate successfully among various stakeholders
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 5 years corporate paralegal experience with an emphasis on corporate secretarial and transaction management
  • Proven ability to successfully coordinate and lead activities among multiple departments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Maintains confidentiality of information, exercises discretion and uses information appropriately
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, assume responsibility and own role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Google Docs Editors suite experience a plus
  • CT notary preferred (but not required)
