Job description

Job Details:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment to support safe, efficient operations. The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs general industrial maintenance work, partners with operations and leadership, and applies strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills. This position requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work in a fastpaced manufacturing environment while continuously developing technical skills through internal and external training.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant production equipment
  • Complete mechanical repairs, including:
    • Shaft seals, motors, bearings, sprockets, conveyors, and alignments
    • Rebuilds of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and pumps
  • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting (low and high voltage up to 480V)
  • Interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints and schematics
  • Maintain packaging equipment, vacuum pumps, box makers, and taper machines
  • Follow procedure manuals and maintenance standards
  • Perform oil removal and system maintenance on hydraulic and vacuum equipment
  • Complete repairs efficiently to meet production and downtime goals
  • Accurately document work, inspections, and PMs in the CMMS
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols and company policies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: Hourly wages up to $35.00/hour for those with more than minimum amount of required experience. The 2nd shift also offers a $1.00 shift premium. Paid weekly.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience:

  • 3 + years industrial maintenance experience required
  • Must have experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical theory.
  • Basic computer skills will be necessary to log information, to process daily work orders and to complete required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • The ability to communicate effectively and basic math skills are necessary to perform this job at a satisfactorily level

Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints during troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools and measuring equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
  • Comfortable operating at high elevations if needed
  • Ability to lift or move 75 pounds.
  • Ability to withstand changing environments.
  • Ability to operate an aerial lift and sit-down forklift.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Schedule:

  • Ability to work variable shifts, weekends, and/or holidays.
    • 1st shift: 5:00AM - 5:00pm; 2nd shift: 5:00PM - 5:00AM
    • Rotating 223 schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, alternating weekly

Travel Requirements: Approximately one to two weeks travel per year for technical and safety training.

Relocation: Comprehensive relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates, including moving expenses, temporary housing, and travel support.

Industrial maintenance card or journeyman's license preferred.
