MOSM: Physical TherapistAssistant

Location:Ryan Ranch

Pay Rate: $38.00 - $46.20 per hour

Under the leadership of the Director of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) plays a key role in supporting patient recovery and optimizing physical performance by delivering care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA is responsible for administering prescribed treatments, documenting patient progress, and assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals. This position involves consistent collaboration with the physical therapy team and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective care. The PTA must demonstrate professionalism, maintain patient confidentiality, and adhere to all safety and compliance standards while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment that reflects the values and reputation of the organization.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic clinic, preferably in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to read and understand simple instructions, write basic correspondence, and effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings with physicians, patients, vendors, and staff. Candidates must demonstrate basic mathematical proficiency, including operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. The position also requires sound reasoning ability, with the capacity to follow detailed instructions and address routine problems using practical, common-sense solutions in standardized situations.

Education

Graduate of accredited physical therapy assistant school.

Licenses/Certifications

CA State Board of Physical Therapy licensure or has applied for CA state licensure. Current CPR/First Aid Certification. ATC, CSCS, SCS, and OCS or like certifications are preferred, but not required.
