Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Lead Bather to join our team. In this role, you will oversee 2-3 bathers, provide high-quality bathing services in a fast-paced environment, perform front desk check-in and check-out tasks, and ensure cleaning duties are completed at the end of each day. Experience trimming paw pads, sanitary areas, and eyebrows is a PLUS!

Responsibilities

  • Bathe, blow dry, brush, trim/grind nails of dogs according to their specific needs and breed standards.
  • Expressing anal glands externally.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all animals during the bathing process.
  • Handle dogs and other pets with care, utilizing proper restraint techniques when necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs.
  • Assist in the care of animals by monitoring their behavior and health during grooming sessions.
  • Support the team with additional tasks as needed, including laundry, heavy lifting of larger animals or equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday
  • 2 years of experience as a dog bather in face pace environment bathing 12-15 dogs per day
  • Background in veterinary technician, kennel technician or veterinary assistant roles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pet grooming techniques and tools is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming sessions.
  • Strong customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
