Job description

VIP is Immediately hiring 2nd Shift Machine Operators for a local company in Albuquerque
This is a Full Time Temp to hire Position
Schedule is Monday-Friday 2pm - 10pm
Pay for this position is $17.00 per hour

As a Machine Operator you will:
  • Remain at your assigned machine at all times to:
    • Run Product
    • Assist with Zipper/ Roll Changes
    • Assist with machine changeover
    • Pull, inspect and retain a sample (making sure to write all measurements, date, time and initials on sample) for each completed box.
  • You may sometimes leave your area to retrieve necessary supplies to operate the machine
  • Produce quality product by verifying information on job jacket before running product
  • Measure and inspect products continually during the run to keep product within specifications
  • Complete production paperwork to maintain traceability of product
  • Properly bundle good product together and box neatly always aware of proper count.
  • Make minor adjustments on machine while running to ensure quality is within specifications
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area
  • Ensure finished goods are stacked and stored to correct area
  • Changing rolls of material using the material handling equipment provided
Machine Operator Candidates Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6 months of relatable work experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs on your own
  • Ability to measure accurately using a ruler
  • Basic Math Skills including fractions and tape measurement reading down to the 1/16th of an inch
