Job Description
An established warehousing operation is seeking an experienced Roll & Bale Clamp Operator to safely handle large paper rolls and pulp or cellulose bales. Proper clamp positioning, pressure, load control, and product damage prevention are essential. Previous hands-on roll clamp and/or bale clamp experience is required; general forklift experience alone is not equivalent.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate roll clamp and bale clamp forklifts to safely move, stack, stage, and store paper rolls and pulp or cellulose bales
  • Load and unload trucks, export shipping containers, and railcars while following load plans and warehouse procedures
  • Position clamp attachments correctly and apply appropriate pressure to maintain load stability and prevent product damage
  • Inspect and verify cargo condition, product identification, quantities, order information, and warehouse locations while accurately recording inventory movements
  • Complete required equipment inspections and follow company safety procedures, PPE requirements, OSHA requirements, and warehouse traffic guidelines
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Previous hands-on Roll Clamp and/or Bale Clamp operating experience is required
  • Experience handling paper rolls, pulp bales, cellulose bales, or similar large industrial products is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of proper clamp positioning, pressure, load stability, and product damage prevention
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, load plans, shipping documents, and warehouse procedures with strong attention to accuracy
  • Ability to repeatedly enter and exit powered industrial equipment; sit for extended periods; and stand, walk, bend, and reach as required in a warehouse environment
  • Must be comfortable working around large moving equipment and heavy industrial cargo in conditions that may include heat, cold, dust, noise, and changing weather
  • Must wear all required PPE and demonstrate dependable attendance, safety awareness, and sound equipment-operating judgment
  • Experience with export container loading, railcar loading/unloading, warehouse scanning systems, or high-capacity industrial forklifts is preferred
Benefits and Perks:
  • $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance eligibility
  • 401(k)
  • Weekly pay with direct deposit or pay card
  • Referral bonus program
  • Training and growth opportunities
