Travel OR Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
 

Position Details
  • Job Title: Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
  • Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
  • Shift: 3 × 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Location: Flagstaff, AZ
  • Facility Type: Short-Term Acute Care | Teaching Hospital | Level I Trauma Center
  • Total Staffed Beds: 268
  • Charting System: Cerner
  • Parking: Free
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience (3 years preferred)
  • First-time travelers are welcome
  • Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or a valid Compact RN License
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Level I Trauma experience is required
    • Highly skilled candidates with recent Level II Trauma experience at a similar-sized or larger facility may also be considered.
       
Required Clinical Experience
 

Candidates must have recent experience in:

  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Spine Surgery
  • Trauma Surgery
  • Neuro Surgery (including Craniotomies)

Experience with scrubbing is preferred but not required.
 

Unit Overview

This is a busy Level I Trauma Operating Room with 11 operating rooms, specializing in:

  • High-volume Orthopedic cases
  • Trauma
  • Spine Surgery
  • General Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Minimal Pediatric cases

The facility is seeking experienced OR nurses who are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment.
 

Schedule & Call
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Weekend rotation: Typically every 3rd weekend
  • Call: As required (30-minute response time)
Floating
  • May float to other departments as helping hands, based on job role and competency.
