Job description

Registered Nurse โ€“ Cardiac Surgery

Schedule: Varies/Days, rotating weekends

Assignment Details:

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
  • Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification
  • AHA ACLS certification
  • One (1) year experience as a Circulating Nurse in the OR or completion of an approved didactic pre-operative nursing class
  • Two (2) years experience in ICU/PCU and/or a medical/surgical acute care setting
  • One (1) year CVOR/Open Heart experience required
  • ICU experience preferred
  • Scrubbing experience preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage patient care throughout the surgical process.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses during surgery.
  • Maintain a sterile environment and uphold infection control standards.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families pre- and post-operation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives within the Operating Room.
