Infection Control (RN)

Full-time Mon.-Fri

$45/HR

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Infection Control RN to lead our clinical safety initiatives. You will oversee our facilityโ€™s Infection Control Program in compliance with NYSDOH and CMS regulations, ensuring a safe environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and investigate infectious outbreaks within the facility.

  • Train staff on proper PPE, hand hygiene, and sanitation protocols.

  • Update facility policies to align with current New York State health guidelines.

  • Manage mandatory state and federal reporting (including NHSN).

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.

  • 2+ years of clinical nursing experience (long-term care preferred).

  • Specialized training in infection prevention (IPCO or CIC preferred, or willing to obtain).

  • CDC Infection Control Certification (or must obtain shortly after hire).

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
