Emergency Department- RN (Contract Role)
Location: Utica, NY, 13502
Duration: 8-week Contract
Shift: 12-hr Eve
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Weekly Pay: $2,232 - $2,412; (Negotiable based on experience)

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) for a 13-week travel contract in Utica, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in emergency care, including pediatric patients, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. The RN will work evening shifts and is expected to float to similar units as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct and compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department, including adults and pediatrics.
    • Triage patients according to acuity and department protocols.
    • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist in procedures.
    • Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR.
    • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other nurses to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
    • Respond to medical emergencies using appropriate interventions and protocols.
    • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and nursing standards.
    • Be willing and able to float to other units as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience, including some pediatric exposure.
    • Prior travel nursing experience.
    • Active New York RN License (required).
    • Current certifications (AHA):
      • ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS & TNCC
    • Proficiency in EPIC EMR system (required).
    • Strong clinical skills, adaptability, and excellent communication.
