Job description

Job Title: Returns Coordinator / Returns Specialist

Job Description

The Returns Coordinator / Returns Specialist works onsite in a logistics facility inspecting products returned from customers and accurately recording quality data in warehouse and inventory systems. This role combines quality inspection, warehousing and logistics activities, and computer-based data entry to determine whether returned products are sellable or unsellable. You will help maintain high product standards, support inventory accuracy, and provide clear quality information to management.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect returned products thoroughly to determine whether items are sellable or unsellable based on established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Perform high-level quality inspection and assurance activities on various casings and related products, ensuring they meet internal and customer requirements.
  • Conduct visual inspections and quality checks, identifying defects, damage, or nonconformities and documenting findings accurately.
  • Log and maintain detailed quality data in warehouse management systems (such as SAP, Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, or JDA) and other computer systems.
  • Enter and update information in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, to track quality metrics, inventory status, and inspection results.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory control activities to ensure accurate stock levels of returned and inspected products.
  • Support internal auditing activities, including participating in internal audits related to quality and inventory processes.
  • Ensure quality metrics are accurately captured, analyzed, and communicated to management to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain the highest level of product compliance and accuracy by following established procedures and documenting all work clearly.
  • Communicate effectively with management and relevant teams regarding quality trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Handle and move products in a warehouse environment, including lifting items weighing approximately 25–45 lbs as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure efficient processing and storage of returned products.
  • Follow all facility safety, quality, and operational procedures while working onsite in the logistics environment.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in high-level quality inspection and quality assurance in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on warehouse experience, including the ability to lift and move products weighing approximately 25–45 lbs.
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory control processes.
  • Practical knowledge of internal auditing and participation in internal quality or process audits.
  • Ability to interpret and work according to customer specifications and other quality requirements.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), such as Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, or similar platforms.
  • Strong computer skills, including data entry and use of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel.
  • Keen eye for detail and strong visual inspection skills to distinguish between sellable and unsellable products.
  • Ability to capture, analyze, and communicate quality metrics clearly to management.
  • Comfort working full-time onsite in a logistics and warehouse environment.

Pay and Benefits
