A welcoming senior living residence is seeking a friendly and independent cook to join our close-knit team. This is the ideal position for someone who enjoys home cooking, working in a calm environment, and creating a pleasant atmosphere for the residents. Cook in a retirement home with approximately 35 covers (residents and daytime staff) What you will do: Prepare complete and balanced meals according to the established menu Adjust portion sizes according to residents' needs Maintaining a clean kitchen that meets MAPAQ standards Manage inventories and report purchasing needs To provide respectful and attentive service Maintain an organized and safe work environment As part of your duties you will have to be in contact with users, you need to be comfortable with them. Desired profile: Empathetic and concerned about the well-being of residents A caring attitude towards the elderly Teamwork skills Commitment to service excellence Sense of organization Good adaptability Judgment / implementation of solutions Professionalism and consistency What we offer: Stable schedule: 56 hours over two weeks Working hours are from 8am to 4pm, one weekend out of two.
