Job description

Salary range: $215K - $260K
Location: Remote - US (excluding Alaska and Hawaii)
About this role
We are looking for an IP Litigation Associate with 3-7 years of experience to join a high-volume, growing patent litigation team within the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit. This is a rare opportunity to do sophisticated patent work at a firm that genuinely prioritizes culture, flexibility, and work-life balance over billable hour grind.
What will you be doing?
  • Handling patent litigation matters across all phases, from case assessment through trial
  • Working primarily with the Technology, Manufacturing & Transportation business unit on technically complex IP disputes
  • Collaborating with partners and associates across offices (virtually or in-person) on a busy and growing docket
  • Developing and articulating legal strategies for clients in the technology and hardware space
  • Managing multiple active cases simultaneously in a fast-paced litigation environment

Key Requirements
  • Patent litigation experience is a hard threshold requirement (3-7 years)
  • Technical background in electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or AI (mechanical engineering considered; bioengineering/chemical engineering not preferred)
  • Active bar license in state of residence (or commitment to obtain ASAP)
  • Compensation expectations must align with the $215K-$260K range (candidates from large markets like NYC, LA, Seattle, DC have historically been priced out)
  • Stable career trajectory with minimal unexplained lateral moves
