Job description

Physician – Obstetrics / Gynecology in Montana

Are you an Obstetrics and Gynecology physician searching for your next locum tenens opportunity? This position with one of VISTA's healthcare partners in Montana might be the perfect fit for you!

Opportunity Highlights
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (includes 1-hour break); 8-hour daily guarantee; OT applies after 9 hours; No call required; No weekends required; No holidays
  • Job Setting: Outpatient clinic only
  • Types of Cases:
    • Low and high risk pregnancy management
    • FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
    • OB Ultrasounds – Level I/Screening and Level II/Targeted
    • Amniocentesis
    • Routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, c-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs)
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology – IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
    • Surgical gynecology (open, laparoscopic, operative/major)
    • Average of 19 patients per shift; approximately 700 deliveries per year
    • OB Generalist supported by Hospitalist Model; comprehensive team includes REI, MFM, Gyn/Onc, Uro/Gyn
    • 24/7 MFM support; State-of-the-art Family Birth Center; Level III NICU
  • Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days; Temporary privileges not available
  • EMR System: Cerner
Minimum Requirements
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
  • Certifications: BLS required
  • Licensure: Must be licensed in Montana, will consider IMLC
