Job description

What We're Looking For

We are searching for English/Spanish speaking Forklift Operators with warehouse shipping and receiving experience in Hammond, IN. In this role, you will handle a variety of warehouse and pipe yard tasks including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and organizing/retrieving materials in the pipe yard.

The ideal candidate will 3+ years' experience operating various forklifts (forklifts, reach truck, order picker) and certification, previous order pulling experience; specifically with valves, fittings, and/or flanges, bilingual English/Spanish, and have an excellent work ethic.

What You'll Do

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
  • Sort and place material or items on racks, shelves or bins according to organizational standards
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures including PPE requirements
  • PPE required: Safety toe shoes

What You Need

  • 3 – 5 years of warehouse related experience in shipping and receiving required.
  • 3+ years of forklift experience and forklift certification required
  • Experience handling pipe (both carbon and stainless-steel a plus
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent work ethic: ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-50 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs. (with proper lifting equipment)
  • Ability to work for extended periods while standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, and occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
