Job description

Licensed Vocational Nurses are encouraged to consider a career opportunity with Liberty Healthcare’s specialized mental health program in San Bernardino County.

This program provides high quality psychiatric services to adults who are justice-involved and experiencing mental illness.

Services are provided onsite at the West Valley Detention Center, a county jail located in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

As an LVN with Liberty, your responsibilities will include:

  • Helping to ensure program clients receive high quality care
  • Providing care to patients in-person within the jail
  • Administering medications and drawing blood for lab tests
  • Monitoring patient health status, response to medication, and treatment progress
  • Providing basic counseling services and health and medication education
  • Documenting pertinent patient health information
  • Participating in clinical team meetings
  • Collaborating with psychiatrists, mental health clinicians, nurses, and security staff

The work schedule for this position consists of four 10-hour days, worked on weekdays during daytime hours.

As a full-time employee of Liberty Healthcare in this role, you can expect:

  • Starting pay between $28.00 and $35.00 per hour (depending on qualifications)
