Temporary Licensed Dental Assistant - Fairmont Family Dentistry, a Cherry Tree Dental Office |ย Fairmont, MN
Assignment Anticipated to be July 2026 to Mid-November 2026


Fairmont Family Dentistry, a Cherry Tree Dental office, is seeking a Temporary Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and help maintain high-quality patient care during a short-term staffing need. This role is ideal for a reliable, patient-focused professional who enjoys working in a collaborative dental practice.

What you'll do:

As a Dental Assistant you will workย to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As aย Dental Assistant you will:

  • Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies
  • Collects and records patient health historiesย and x-rays
  • Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures
  • Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed
  • Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies
  • Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient
  • Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff
  • Assist administrative team with customer service functions

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Programย 
  • Current State of Minnesota Dental Assistant License
  • Previous customer service or office experience
  • Proficiency inย dental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Foster a positive attitude and be a team player

Patient Care Hours:
Monday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
