Job description

Your future role at a glance

Location: Evansville, IN

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent

Department/Specialty: Respiratory Therapy

Schedule: Part Time | Rotating

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Support patient recovery by administering respiratory medications and treatments under expert supervision, ensuring every therapy is delivered safely and effectively.

  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to ordered therapies, acting as a vital link in the clinical chain by reporting real-time status updates to the care team.

  • Advocate for patient safety by meticulously recording clinical observations and communicating changes in condition to ensure timely and accurate interventions.

  • Empower patients and their families through clear, empathetic education regarding their respiratory health, medications, and the road to recovery.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Temporary Permit Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date  -OR- Student Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • High school diploma equivalency OR Enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.
What additional requirements you'll need

Current in BLS. 

Enrolled in a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy college program.

Willing to obtain an Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner student permit (upon being hired).
