Job description

Our customer is looking for a bilingual assembly supervisor to lead and support their second-shift assembly production team. This position provides day-to-day leadership to the assigned department and serves as a key link between production employees and plant management.
The assembly supervisor will oversee production activities while ensuring team goals are met in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. This role will also focus on employee development through communication, training, coaching, and performance feedback while supporting continuous improvement throughout the department.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and direct the activities of personnel and physical resources within the assigned assembly department.
  • Lead daily second-shift operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
  • Oversee work orders, material flow, and material handling to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures, addressing concerns, and modeling safe behaviors.
  • Support the development and implementation of department safety procedures and initiatives.
  • Identify and implement best practices to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Train, coach, and develop employees while ensuring appropriate cross-training across products and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including experience leading and developing a diverse production workforce.
  • Bilingual english/spanish required.
  • Experience supervising 30 or more employees.
  • Associate degree in engineering, operations, business, or a related field desired; bachelor’s degree preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach production employees through hands-on methods.
  • Knowledge of problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Experience with iso 9000 / 14001 or other quality programs.
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing principles in a production environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and processes to improve quality and productivity.
  • Proficiency with computer-based tools, including erp systems and microsoft office suite; jd edwards experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, including production workers, engineers, and upper management.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement.

In the spirit of pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $75,000–$85,000, not including benefits, potential bonuses, or additional compensation.
