Job description

Temp position for summer months

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities.  Other duties may be assigned)

  • Provide a variety of case management, skills training, support services as required for persons with developmental disabilities, severe and persistent mental illness, and chemical dependency.
  • Advocate for benefits on behalf of client.
  • Provide a variety of life skills training to clientele.
  • Work collaboratively with treatment team to connect clients with community resources.
  • Understanding of evidence-based practices including group counseling skills, one-on-one counseling skills, treatment planning, assessments, and referrals.

Required:

  • BA degree in social work, behavioral health, or related field
  • OR Three years combination of education and work experience with individuals with severe or persistent mental illness, or alcohol and drug dependency
  • Qualification as a Qualified Mental Health Associate - R (QMHA-R) through MHACBO
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful completion of background check

     Preferred:

  • Bilingual/multilingual
  • Experience with electronic medical records and telemedicine
