The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $160Kto $200K annually. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
We are looking for full-time RN Quality Assurance Consultant.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates facility performance and conducts inspections of facilities to determine that standards for licensure and certification are maintained
  • Reviews and provides input on all POCs (plans of correction) and self-reported events prior to submitting to regulatory agencies
  • Reviews medical and other pertinent records to determine compliance with standards of practice and regulations
  • Provides further education, training and guidance as needed
  • Observes nursing and related practices for conformance with standards and regulations
  • Prepares reports of findings, recommendations and assists with quality improvements
  • Consults with and provides technical assistance to the nursing departments through visits and the interpretation or clarification of policies and regulations
  • Provides information and guidance in the development of policies and standards of nursing practice for new programs
  • Regularly inspects the facility and nursing practices for compliance with standards of nursing practice and federal, state and local regulations
  • Observes that residents are provided with a comfortable, clean, orderly and safe environment
  • May be required to assume the role of interim DON, as needed
  • Available on-call for emergencies that supervisory personnel cannot handle
  • Follows up on completion of Dietary Consultant Reports, Pharmacy Consultation Reports and other facility consultant reports for appropriate and timely action by facility
  • Follows up with DON and Administrator on Quality Assurance recommendations

Requirements:
  • Must have current California Registered Nurse License
  • Preferred experience as a Director of Nursing at a Skilled Nursing Facility
  • 5 years of experience as a Regional / Clinical Skilled Nursing RN Consultant is preferred
  • Regulatory knowledge - Federal and Title 22
