Job description

What You'll Do:
Collaborate with audit teams to understand audit objectives, business processes, data requirements, and reporting needs.
Design and execute data analytics procedures for audit engagements, including control testing, population analysis, exception reporting, and pattern identification.
Summarize analytical results into clear, concise insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Extract, clean, transform, and analyze data using SQL, Python, or Excel to support audit testing and risk assessments.
Identify anomalies, trends, outliers, and risk indicators through advanced data analysis.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
Build reusable analytics scripts, templates, and reporting assets to improve efficiency and consistency.
Use Power Automate to support workflow automation, reporting processes, and repeatable analytics activities.
Support continuous improvement of Internal Audit's data analytics capabilities, tools, and methodologies.
Leverage tools such as KNIME or similar platforms where applicable to support data preparation, analytics workflows, and automation.
What You Bring:
Post-secondary education in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Analytics or related field.
3–5 years of experience in data analytics, audit, risk management, or a related field.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, etc.
Experience with KNIME, Azure Synapse, Copilot Studio is an asset.
Strong data visualization skills, with the ability to present analytical findings in a clear and business-relevant manner.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Ability to work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and translate business questions into analytical solutions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of audit, risk management, internal controls, and business processes.
Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid: In-office 4 days a week)

Broadband Salary Range: $53,000 – $88,000 CAD.Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
