Job description

Position Summary

The Fox Club is a historic private club located in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Charitable Friends of Digamma Board (CFDB) is the nonprofit organization responsible for supporting the preservation of the Club and fulfilling its public access obligations.

CFDB is seeking a temporary, part-time Public Access Program Coordinator to assist in planning and executing its public access programming through Fall 2026. The Coordinator will take primary responsibility for organizing, publicizing, coordinating, and documenting public access activities at the Fox Club, working with members of CFDB and relevant Club personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute CFDB’s required public access programming at the Fox Club.
  • Plan and coordinate public tours, events, and other access opportunities.
  • Conduct outreach to historical, architectural, educational, and other relevant organizations and groups.
  • Publicize public access opportunities through appropriate channels.
  • Coordinate scheduling, registration, guest communications, attendance, and other event logistics.
  • Assist with and, when appropriate, conduct tours of the Fox Club.
  • Be present onsite for designated tours, events, and public access activities.
  • Maintain organized records of programming, outreach, attendance, and completed activities.
  • Coordinate with CFDB members and relevant Fox Club personnel to ensure programming is executed effectively.
  • Help establish an organized, repeatable process for managing CFDB’s public access programming going forward.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
  • Comfort interacting professionally with guests, alumni, students, community members, and outside visitors.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of day-to-day execution.
  • Availability to work in person in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by programming.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with event planning, program coordination, community engagement, nonprofit programming, historic preservation, tours, or related work.
  • Familiarity with Cambridge, Harvard, or the surrounding community.
  • Interest in history, architecture, historic preservation, or public programming.
