Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Associate to join our warehouse team in Waukegan, IL. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with a consistent daytime schedule. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse or shipping experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and apply shipping labels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and carrier software.
  • Process shipments through various carriers, including UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL freight providers.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
  • Ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and customer service expectations.
  • Verify shipping information and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Follow company procedures and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or 3PL experience preferred.
  • Experience with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use shipping software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
