Job description

Purpose of the Job

The Production Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain operations, inventory management, warehousing, and physical distribution activities, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of products and materials. In addition, the role supports the tactical execution of marketing activation programs through the procurement and production of 2D print, temporary & semi-permanent POSM, and branded merchandise. Working closely with clients, internal teams, and suppliers, the role manages projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring exceptional service, adherence to agreed timelines and budgets, effective supplier selection and cost negotiation, and the consistent execution of operational and campaign objectives.

This is will be a Hybrid or On Client Site position based on Greensboro, North Carolina, USA

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage end-to-end supply chain, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution activities, ensuring operational efficiency and service excellence.
  • Lead the execution of marketing activation programs, including the procurement and production of 2D print, temporary & semi-permanent POSM, branded merchandise, and other campaign collateral.
  • Manage product, vendor, and supplier pricing processes to deliver the highest quality solutions within agreed budgets, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Source, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring optimum quality, service, innovation, lead times, and commercial value.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers, achieving competitive costs while maintaining realistic production and delivery schedules.
  • Oversee project delivery from concept through to completion, ensuring milestones, budgets, timelines, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
  • Assess project requirements and recommend appropriate production, logistics, and fulfilment solutions, establishing cost-effective and scalable delivery approaches.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and managing expectations regarding timelines, budgets, inventory levels, and project deliverables.
  • Coordinate effectively with clients, agencies, internal stakeholders, warehouse teams/logistics providers, and production suppliers to ensure seamless program execution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements and replenishment activities ensuring accuracy and availability of materials and finished goods.
  • Identify potential production, supply chain, and fulfilment risks in advance, proactively implementing solutions to minimize disruption and ensure continuity of service.
  • Utilize and champion e-procurement, inventory management, and management information systems, ensuring accurate reporting, visibility, and process compliance.
  • Ensure best practice procedures, governance standards, and operational documentation are consistently followed, maintaining compliance with internal and client requirements.
  • Resolve operational and customer service issues promptly, taking ownership of corrective actions and driving continuous improvement based on client feedback and performance metrics.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the client's business, industry sector, and strategic objectives, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, and commercial value.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience 

  • 3+ years' experience in marketing production, procurement, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or a related client-facing operational role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven experience managing suppliers, procurement activities, and production sourcing within agency, manufacturing, logistics, or client environments.
  • Strong project management skills with experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Experience negotiating supplier pricing, service levels, and commercial agreements to achieve best-value outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, fulfilment, and distribution processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data and produce operational reports.
  • Experience using e-procurement, inventory management, ERP, warehouse management, or related business systems.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective client and supplier relationships.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
