A large, reputable HVAC/construction company is currently hiring for a Mechanical Project Manager to help oversee a large semiconductor project in Boise, ID. Candidates must be familiar with mechanical construction and have an understanding of plumbing scope.

As a Mechanical Construction Project Manager, you will lead high-performing teams in design, engineering, project management, and business services. You will oversee the successful execution of major construction projects by managing personnel, financials, risks/opportunities, and schedules through effective relationship building, communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting. You will mentor Project Engineers and Project Coordinators and develop strong, positive relationships with clients.

Pay - $105k/yr. - $158k/yr. (Salary, but eligible for Overtime + Per Diem for out-of-state employees)

Location - Boise, ID

Schedule - 100% On-site (Expectation is 50 hours per week, with overtime pay for Saturday work)

(Summary of Key Responsibilities)

  • Lead and own estimates, project scoping, proposals, safety, and execution while meeting or exceeding profitability goals.
  • Understand mechanical systems costing and value analysis.
  • Communicate with engineering staff to ensure complete designs and clear scope within budget.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams; attend coordination meetings.
  • Support business development to secure new business and maintain client relations.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships.
  • Estimate and negotiate change orders.
  • Track, forecast, and report labor hours and material costs.
  • Buy out major equipment and subcontracts; expedite and track deliveries.
  • Maintain working knowledge of project contracts and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
  • Plan, organize, and schedule project work with field labor supervision.
  • Prepare fabrication shop work packages.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety programs.
  • Communicate proactively and professionally with team members.
  • Uphold core values and maintain regular attendance and promptness.

(Qualification Requirements)

  • Mechanical Project Management experience.
    • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer would also suffice.
    • Understanding of RFI, Submittals, and Change Orders.
    • Project Budgeting experience.
    • High level of technical competency in plumbing scope and ability to read and understand drawings related to complex plumbing systems.
    • In-depth understanding of mechanical installation sequencing.
    • Proven experience managing and coaching project engineers.
    • Comfortable submitting to a drug test upon offer.
