Duration: 12 month contract

From toys to apparel, books to games, and much more, Activision Blizzard Consumer Products brings our company's products, through stories and characters, to fans worldwide. With a portfolio of renowned franchises including World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Diablo, Crash Bandicoot and many more, our team works to deliver best in class products.
We are looking for a talented product developer with an agile skillset that includes graphic design, product development and an eye for how to marry digital gaming and real worlds. Familiarity with fashion and the video game industry are pluses. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative suite and a portfolio of sample work are required.
Hybrid
This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, and the home studio for this role is Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
  • Review licensed product submissions for franchise accuracy, legal compliance, brand standards, and product quality.
  • Provide clear written feedback, annotated visuals, and mockups to guide required revisions and ensure alignment with franchise team direction.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Managers to evaluate product designs, recommend improvements, and maintain approval consistency.
  • Utilize internal product approval systems to manage and process multiple product submissions daily.
  • Support licensing partners by providing approved assets, logos, legal lines, and brand guidance.
  • Partner with internal teams to communicate franchise values, creative vision, and design standards to external licensees.
  • Create light to moderate graphic design assets, including annotated feedback, mockups, presentations, and status update materials.
  • Support the Creative Team with asset management, reference gathering, design execution, industry research, and presentation development.

Player Profile
Requirements
  • 5+ years of design experience in the consumer products industry - entertainment experience a plus with an exceptional illustration, design, lettering, and branding portfolio.
  • Has good knowledge of creative ideation & asset planning, style guide asset development, branding/packaging.
  • Stays abreast of current design trends and technologies, including software, hardware, and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage several projects at any one time.
  • Has exceptional "creative problem-solving", initiative, and follow-through skills with the ability to think on your feet - exercise storytelling and joy through creative asset development.
  • Regular communication, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness are required.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

Pluses

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $27.42 - $50.72 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
