Experienced Cook — Pinji's Café (Wilmington, DE)

Pinji's Café is a family-owned, Korean-fusion breakfast and lunch spot in Wilmington's Trolley Square neighborhood. We're known for fresh, healthy, made-from-scratch food — breakfast bowls, sandwiches on focaccia and wraps, salads and soups, plus smoothies, bubble tea, and espresso drinks. We've built a loyal following and a warm, welcoming kitchen, and we're looking for one more great cook to grow with us.

This is a daytime job. We're closed by 5pm and you'll be home for dinner every night — no late closes, no bar crowd, no 1am cleanups.

What you'll do

  • Prep and cook our breakfast and lunch menu to recipe, every time — bowls, sandwiches, salads, soups, and our Korean specialties like bulgogi
  • Run your station cleanly and keep up during the morning and lunch rushes
  • Follow food-safety and cleanliness standards (proper temps, storage, labeling, sanitizing)
  • Help with prep, stocking, and keeping the kitchen organized and ready
  • Work as a team with the rest of the crew and treat customers and coworkers with respect
  • Help keep the kitchen clean and running smoothly — in a small team, everyone helps keep the stations and dishes moving.

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of real cooking experience — line cook, prep cook, or similar — and the ability to run a station on your own
  • Someone dependable and trustworthy. If you say you'll be there at 7, you're there at 6:50. This matters to us more than anything.
  • Clean, fast, and consistent under pressure
  • A good teammate with a good attitude — we're a small family business and the vibe matters
  • Food handler / ServSafe card a plus (or willingness to get one)
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Weekend availability
