SUMMARY

This position is responsible for preparing temporary power permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from local jurisdictions. This position acts as a liaison between the company jurisdictional employees, working together to resolve any redline corrections and prepare for upcoming requirement changes, as well as works closely with internal teams to meet branch and company goals. This position is responsible for ensuring timely internal and external customer service by monitoring and coordinating all aspects of establishing service and disconnection of services for temporary electrical meters.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research, locate, and respond to various customer and associate inquiries.
  • Support Construction Service Administrators including but not limited to, answering phones and creating delivery/pick up tickets
  • Maintain daily updates of all in-house field tickets with relevance to Temporary Meters.
  • Coordinate work information between Field Services and customer contact personnel to minimize customer service problems.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date records of meter status to ensure effective customer service.
  • Identify, investigate, track, notify and escalate service disruptions due to meters, or issues that should arise due to concerns with temporary meter.
  • Prepare and assign field service routes, with communication with the production manager, for the field service technicians for necessary meter correction and/or meter tie-ins/hot checks.
  • Schedule core drill for those meter sources that need to be drilled to expose necessary components for the meter installation and generate quote if not included in original scope.
  • Schedule appointments to meet customers and obtain customer signatures, final paperwork sign off and payment collection.
  • Work with internal teams and jurisdictional employees to understand and resolve any jurisdictional comments.
  • Organize all completed paperwork, and process payments in a compliant, secure manner, if assigned.
  • Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive & confidential situations.

  • Experience with construction permitting is preferred.

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction site map and street maps is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computer operating systems and software programs to schedule various aspects of tracking the status of Temporary Meters.
  • Must be able to work in a fast –paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Experience in office systems and organization as well as other applicable technical specialties.
