Job description

???? Senior Platform Engineer – Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS (TS/SCI Polygraph Required)
???? Location: Annapolis Junction, MD (Onsite)
????️ Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Join the Frontline of Innovation. Power the Mission.

Quevera is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer who’s ready to take on a mission-critical role in shaping cloud infrastructure and automation strategies in one of the most secure environments in the country. This is more than a job — it’s a chance to lead the transformation of cloud-native operations for national security.

You’ll be embedded with a high-performing engineering team, working hands-on with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a full modern DevOps toolchain to design scalable, secure platforms that deliver continuous impact.

REQUIRED - MUST have a current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance to apply for role. Only those with a current TS/SCI with Poly clearance will be considered.

What You’ll Do:
  • Architect and implement highly available, automated cloud environments using AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

  • Drive infrastructure-as-code best practices, enabling consistent, repeatable deployments across all environments.

  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Ansible.

  • Spearhead containerization and orchestration strategies with Docker and EKS.

  • Collaborate in Agile teams, delivering solutions aligned to evolving mission goals.

  • Lead with a problem-solver’s mindset, mentoring others and setting technical direction.

Your Toolbelt:
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.

  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS (VPC, EC2, S3, EKS/ECS), and Terraform.

  • Skilled in scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby) and automation workflows.

  • Experienced with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

  • Solid grasp of CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

  • Comfortable in Linux environments, with strong networking and security fundamentals.

  • Must hold CWIP IAT Level I certification.

  • Minimum Education: A BS in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent years of experience

Why You Should Apply:
  • Mission impact – Build infrastructure that directly supports national security.

  • Cutting-edge tech stack – You won’t just use tools — you’ll help shape how they’re used.

  • Leadership role – Be the go-to expert. Influence architecture, mentor teammates, and set the bar high.

  • High-trust environment – Work onsite with a tight-knit team where every contribution matters.

  • Career growth – Step into a senior-level role with opportunities to grow into lead or principal positions.

???? This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
If you thrive in complex technical environments and want to make a real-world impact, we want to hear from you.

Apply today and engineer the future with Quevera.
